Saponification is the process of turning the oils in the mix into soap. This happens when the lye solution is added.

Standing in Summer creek Oklahoma that is the very question I asked myself. How did we get here? Those water tumbled limestone impressions from the gravel yard. From the damn building unearthing the ancient life from a forgotten sea. Here I stood this summer 2022. Remembering what I could of the women before me.
